#ffffff;\">\u00a0What is HVO?<\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d5ee819 elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) is a renewable, environmentally friendly fuel.<\/strong> This biofuel is made of renewable raw materials from 100% sustainable sources, such as waste and fat residues from the food industry, or from non-food vegetable oils. This leads to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions throughout the life cycle of the fuel in relation to fossil diesel.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-557b830 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"557b830\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u00a0What are the advantages of HVO?<\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca4d146 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ca4d146\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The move from diesel to HVO is an opportunity to considerably reduce emissions of CO2, NOx (nitrogen oxides) and fine particles. <\/strong>This fuel is mainly used in Europe. Some countries, such as Finland and the United Kingdom, have set up tax incentives to promote this more ecological fuel.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A <strong>high quality fuel<\/strong> which does not compromise on engine performance<\/li>\n<li>Several <strong>environmental advantages<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Reduction in CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions of up to 90% over the fuel life cycle in relation to fossil diesel<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of particle emissions of up to 33% during combustion. The particle filter is not subjected to such heavy use and remains clean for longer<\/li>\n<li>Reduction in NOx of up to 6% during combustion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> manufacturer\u2019s warranty<\/strong> for the engine is maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0bc5a77 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0bc5a77\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>FAME and HVO should not be confused<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Renewable diesel, or HVO, is sometimes confused with biodiesel, or FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester). <strong>The main differences between them lie in their chemical composition:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">HVO is produced via a hydrotreatment process. The result is a fuel which has a chemical composition similar to that of fossil diesel. <strong>This chemical similarity means this biofuel can be used in diesel engines up to a concentration of 100%,<\/strong> or in mixtures with fossil diesel of any proportion. The use of HVO biofuel does not require any changes to be made to the engine\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Biofuel such as FAME has a different composition to that of fossil diesel and they cannot be substituted for each other. <strong>The maximum concentration permitted for FAME biodiesel in a mixture with fossil diesel is 7%<\/strong>. A proportion of FAME greater than 7% requires the engine to be modified.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9d2f6c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c9d2f6c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\"
