A Christmas fairytale
An incident which could have come straight out of a Christmas fairytale occurred at H3 on December 21st.
We were surprised to see a magnificent parrot perched on the fence around the smokers’ corner.
The smokers may even have wondered what was in their cigarettes!
But no, it was indeed a very handsome macaw that had come to seek refuge at Haulotte.
Some charitable souls contacted the appropriate authorities or associations so that we could try to help him.
A gallant colleague caught him to bring him inside, and a few of the more practically minded found some food for him.
Suffice to say, the bird was spoiled to death but had no home to go to!!
Sometimes life plays tricks on us and we get a lucky break.
The parrot’s desperate owner had been telephoning all the companies in the area to try and find her beloved pet and, after getting nowhere, finally tried to contact Haulotte, which seemed to be rather a long way from the potential search area.
You can imagine how happy she was to be reunited with her darling Tao!!
All in all, it’s a story that will go down in Haulotte history.
