The e-Lab, a reference in Design Thinking

Design thinking a method which addresses the creation of a project by usage rather than by the technical aspect. It is part of the innovative approach of the e-Lab, which has adapted it for its creativity sessions. This initiative has earned the team a mention in a reference book!

The e-Lab has adopted the key stages of design thinking – immersion, creativity and testing – to tackle the creativity sessions to which it invites the group’s employees. It is this original, innovative approach which interested the authors of the book entitled Passez au Design Thinking*”.

They therefore decided to interview our three experts to illustrate the theme: switching from “those who solve problems” to “those who bring about change”!

We are really proud to be appearing in a reference book, and to have succeeded in implementing a methodology which is starting to interest other departments,” explain Ludovic Lemarchand, Xavier Macé and Clément Viaouët.

Promising beginnings

Since it was launched, the e-Lab has organized around fifteen creativity sessions which have mobilized thirty of the group’s employees from all over the world. Experience shows that this method enables us to reach a relevant result more quickly. We focus on the points which will have the most positive impact, says Ludovic Lemarchand.

Xavier Macé adds that with design thinking, we ask other questions which lead us to solutions that we would not have thought of at the start”.

By appearing in a reference book, the e-Lab has established itself as a design thinking contributor, and the mouthpiece of the Haulotte Let’s Dare spirit!
