ReStart by Haulotte entices our customers
Initial sales have been made and our customers have given very positive feedback. Some even showed up to visit the Restart Center. This is a promising start for an offer that is still just getting off the ground.
The Restart by Haulotte refurbishment offer is something altogether new on the European market.
There is nothing like it from any other manufacturer and this has piqued the interest of customers looking for certified second-hand aerial platforms backed by a warranty.
The ReStart offer slots in between the new machinery market and the used “as is” machinery market.
The trade press has widely disseminated this launch since July. Advertisements of refurbished used machinery have also gained visibility, with the number of views per advert doubling over the July to October period.
Ludovic Jankov, Used Equipment Manager, recounted “We made some sales before the summer, but the volume of orders rose in September and October. This fall is when we ‘properly’ saw our sales get off the ground.”
Excellent feedback
Three subsidiaries—Haulotte Germany, Haulotte Iberica, and Haulotte France—are now fully on board with the program.
Ludovic Jankov explained “All feedback has been glowing. This gives confidence to our teams, who made the sales and are in charge of after-sales. As for the customers, they become cheerleaders of the solution and orders are renewed.”
The Restart Center, located at Horme (France), is open to customers who want to know more about what we offer. They can see and test the machines. Pekkaniska, Vertimac and Kiloutou will be visiting the center soon. But we also meet those who are looking at how to transition their business model as part of a CSR approach.
Eyes on 2023
Restart by Haulotte already covers our core products. In time, the goal is to refurbish all Haulotte models, starting with the most recent machines possible (10 years max.). The team at the Restart Center is in place and will grow in the coming months. They have already gained solid experience and will continue to learn as different models are refurbished.
According to Restart Center Director Emmanuel Chabaneix, “We started this project in intrapreneurial mode. A full year will be needed to cover the entire range and perfect our refurbishment processes. Our team has taken over the refurbishment programs as its own and is spearheading improvements.
We are in lock-step with the Group’s strategy of pivoting to a circular economy and are looking to start 2023 under the best conditions.”
